Research Partners work with a number of search firm businesses in the UK. This includes a mixture of
start up businesses through to large established search firms. Our clients work with us because we
provide valuable intelligence that they rely on.

At the beginning of every new assignment we make sure that we receive a brief from our client.
This enables us to work efficiently and time effectively. Depending on the services you select we may
need more detailed information, which would typically include an outline of the responsibilities of
the position, the qualifications needed from the ideal candidate including work experience and personal
competencies covering areas such as management and personality. This specification is used as a
benchmark for assessing candidates and the guide for our search work. Typically our services fall into
3 main categories:

Company Target Lists
In collaboration with our client we will produce a list of target companies in which the person that you
are looking to hire is most likely to be found. These companies can be either key competitors, allied
businesses or even outside of the client’s immediate market sector.

Identification
Using our extensive network, experience and creativity we will work through a number of different
approaches to confidentially identify the relevant people within the target companies. We are also able
to map entire departments and organization structures. This involves finding out how specific teams are
structured, information about their roles and reporting lines. This will provide valuable market mapping
information for immediate and possible future hires.

Approach
We can then approach each of the target candidates in confidence. Where appropriate we will document
detailed information about their background, aspirations and salary details. For candidates that are both
interested and qualified we will request a CV and send this to our clients together with our interview notes.

We are an executive research company bringing a new recruitment concept, currently very popular in
the US, to the European market. Our service allows hiring companies to have access to the same pool
of search candidates at almost a third of the cost of a typical retained search firm.

We provide our clients with everything from company target lists, competitor analysis, name generation
and qualified candidate lists (pre-screened candidates with CVs). Depending on our client’s needs we
can also conduct first round interviews.

Originally, our services supported the efforts of executive search companies. Currently, we have a
mixed client based of direct hiring companies and executive search firms. This is due in part to hiring
firms realizing that executive search is a costly, middle process of finding viable candidates.
Our service allows firms to go directly to the source of candidates, which is us.

We are more cost-effective than the fee-for-hire retained/contingency search firm. When using a
percentage fee-based firm, you are charged a per-hire fee, even when you need several individuals for
the same type of position. When using Research Partners, your firm pays a singular hourly, half daily
or daily fee for singular or multiple positions. This flexibility gives you the added benefit of having
control over the scope of your assignment.

Our company serves organizations in the technology and telecommunications sector. We have experience
working across the UK, Europe (including Eastern Europe), USA and Asia. Our customers include large
telecommunication organizations, mobile content and applications firms, enterprise software and OSS/BSS
