At the beginning of every new assignment we make sure that we receive a brief from our client. This
enables us to work efficiently and time effectively. Depending on the services you select we may need
more detailed information, which would typically include an outline of the responsibilities of the
position, the qualifications needed from the ideal candidate including work experience and personal
competencies covering areas such as management and personality. This specification is used as a
benchmark for assessing candidates and the guide for our search work. Typically our services fall into
3 main categories:

Company Target Lists
In collaboration with our client we will produce a list of target companies in which the person that you
are looking to hire is most likely to be found. These companies can be either key competitors, allied
businesses or even outside of the client’s immediate market sector.

Identification
Using our extensive network, experience and creativity we will work through a number of different
approaches to confidentially identify the relevant people within the target companies. We are also able
to map entire departments and organization structures. This involves finding out how specific teams are
structured, information about their roles and reporting lines. This will provide valuable market mapping
information for immediate and possible future hires.

Approach
We can then approach each of the target candidates in confidence. Where appropriate we will document
detailed information about their background, aspirations and salary details. For candidates that are both
interested and qualified we will request a CV and send this to our clients together with our interview notes.
